Using the Magento Connector for NetSuite, retailers can combine the powerful Magento eCommerce platform with the proven back office features of NetSuite. Since the integration is fully automated, you can focus on increasing sales and accurately managing the resulting orders, instead of wasting time manually keeping your Magento web store and NetSuite account in sync.

Import Sales Orders into NetSuite: Orders taken in Magento are imported into NetSuite automatically. For credit card orders, the credit card processing can occur entirely on the Magento store before the order is imported into NetSuite. Or, the credit card can be authorized in Magento, and the authorization code imported on the NetSuite order so that the credit card can be captured in NetSuite after the order has been fulfilled.

Import Customers into NetSuite: If a matching customer is not found based on the email address on the incoming order, then a new customer record is created in NetSuite. For guest shoppers, basic customer info taken from the sales order is populated on the NetSuite customer record. For registered customers (i.e., users with a Magento customer account), the Magento customer profile data is also stored on the NetSuite customer record.

Export Fulfillments to Magento: As orders are fulfilled in NetSuite, the fulfillment transactions are exported to Magento so that the shopper has full visibility into the current order status. Partial fulfillments are supported by the integration, and the tracking number for each shipment is exported to Magento.

Export Billing Data to Magento: For orders that need to be invoiced in NetSuite, billing data is exported to Magento so that the shopper can see they have been billed.

Export Item Data to Magento: Retailers can easily designate which items from NetSuite are sold in Magento, making it easy to update your Magento product catalog with changes you make to descriptions or pricing in your NetSuite item master. Virtually all NetSuite item types are supported by the integration, as well as price levels and quantity-pricing. (Note: Item Groups are not supported. Export Inventory Levels to Magento: Inventory levels in Magento are continuously updated with current inventory levels in NetSuite, ensuring that orders placed can actually be fulfilled. The integration supports exporting available inventory quantities from one or more NetSuite locations.

Synchronize Refunds and Returns between NetSuite and Magento: When a refund or a credit memo is issued in NetSuite, or when a credit memo is created in Magento, the connector will synchronize these information between the two systems. If items returned are restocked, they will be sync'd as part of the regular Item export.

Data Mapping

The out-of-the-box installation of the Connector includes a comprehensive set of data field mappings. These field mapping can be updated through a user interface that is implemented directly within NetSuite. All record types supported through the SuiteTalk Web Services interface are fully supported, as is the ability to map custom records, custom fields, hierarchical data types, and more. This interface allows even business users to make changes to the integration without having to make changes to the code.

Monitoring

Monitor every aspect of this integration from the context of a single NetSuite dashboard—one page offering complete visibility including custom portlets, KPIs, meters, and graphs. Integration activity is logged directly inside NetSuite with the ability to specify summary or detailed logging. The summary logging occurs at the job level, capturing the details of the import/export. The detailed logging occurs at the record level, and includes the ability to click through from the summary.

No time to keep track of everything? Preconfigured alerts are provided through standard NetSuite alert functionality. With a few clicks, administrators can configure these alerts to suit the needs of their enterprise.
