Job Overview
The Principal Product Manager (PPM) is one of the most senior and strategically vital roles within the product management team. The PPM is responsible for overseeing the development and success of critical products, guiding them from conceptualization to launch and beyond. This role demands a unique blend of strategic vision, leadership, and deep technical and market expertise. The PPM operates at the intersection of strategy and execution, driving innovation and ensuring that the product meets the highest standards of quality, performance, and market success.
Celigo is seeking a Principal Product Manager with demonstrated experience in driving transformative AI experiences. This role will help define the intersection of how AI can help increase the success of first-time and ongoing user experience in order to accelerate builder success. Additionally, this leader will help execute our vision around agentic workflows and reinforced learnings - capabilities which will fundamentally transform the value that our customers harvest from our integration platform. Finally, this role will collaborate with his peers to promote the successful adoption of AI technologies across the Celigo Platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Strategy and Vision:
- Lead the development and execution of the product vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, customer needs, and company OKRs.
- Lead the creation and prioritization of product roadmaps, focusing on strategic initiatives that drive business growth and market differentiation.
- Lead market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and inform product decisions.
- Product Development and Execution:
- Lead the entire product life cycle for key products, from ideation through to post-launch, ensuring flawless execution at every phase.
- Lead the development of comprehensive Feature Requirements Documents (FRDs) and detailed user stories, ensuring alignment with the strategic vision.
- Lead PM Council to support other PMs and ensure all features meet quality and performance standards before moving into development.
- Lead product triad meetings, fostering collaboration between engineering, design, and product teams to deliver high-impact features.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration and Influence:
- Lead cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to coordinate product development and ensure successful go-to-market execution.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders, providing regular updates on product status, risks, and opportunities.
- Participate in go-to-market activities, including webinars and conferences, to support the delivery of product features to the market and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Collect cross-departmental requirements to ensure that the product aligns with the needs and objectives of all relevant teams.
- Customer Focus:
- Lead customer-facing roadmap delivery, effectively communicating the strategic vision and upcoming features.
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and ensure the product roadmap addresses their pain points.
- Leverage customer insights and data analytics to refine product features and enhance the overall user experience.
- Engage actively in the Celigo Community, contributing to discussions and sharing product updates.
- Lead and facilitate discussions in the Product Advisory Councils (PACs), providing insights and strategic direction to align product initiatives with broader business objectives.
- Risk Management and Problem Solving:
- Lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks throughout the product life cycle, ensuring smooth execution and delivery.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on product status and goals.
- Balance competing priorities and make strategic trade-offs to achieve the best possible results for the product and the company.
Leadership and Mentoring:
- Mentor product managers, sharing best practices and supporting their growth within the team.
Skills and Qualifications
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
- Experience:
- 10+ years of product management experience, particularly within SaaS or iPaaS environments, with a proven track record of success in managing complex and high-impact products.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with AI technologies within the context of middleware or equivalent technologies.
- Extensive experience in leading product teams, with deep expertise in ERP, CRM, eCommerce, or similar SaaS/Cloud applications.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership and drive strategic product initiatives.
- Core Competencies:
- Strategic thinker with exceptional product management skills, including problem-solving, project management, and cross-functional leadership.
- Strong technical acumen, with the ability to engage in and influence deep technical discussions with engineering teams.
